Living Words

Before I developed a close relationship with Jesus, I didn’t realize how important and life-changing the Word of God is. I thought it was just a book people were trying to make me read. As I’ve come to have treasure the Bible, I realize that that’s not true at all. The Word of God is loaded full of promises directed towards Believers. It is God speaking directly to us, telling us how much He loves us, what He’s purchased for us through the blood of Jesus, His Son, and who we now are in Him. Before having a revelation of this, the Bible may seem just like another boring book, but let me assure you, when you get a hold of the fact that God is speaking to you through those pages, it will come alive.
I’ve made this Living Words page to share some of the promises found in the Word of God, to help anyone who may need some encouragement. Jesus said in John 6:63-“. . . The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” The Word will make you feel more alive than ever before. It will stir in your inner self and cause insurmountable joy to rise up on the inside of you. As you read these passages, I pray that you take them to heart, and allow Him to speak to you through them. Remember-For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us- 2 Corinthians 1:20. God cannot lie. Take Him at His word, and you won’t be sorry.
Blessings,
Gina Bovyn

Love- How He loves us and His love in us

John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:5- And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:8- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP- Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. . .

Matthew 5:44-45- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Mark 12:29-31- And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is this, Hear O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Romans 13:8- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

1 John 3:18- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Romans 8:35-39- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 17:23- I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Isaiah 41:10- Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
1 John 4:18- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

3 John 2- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Hebrews 10:22-23- Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our hope without wavering;(for he is faithful that promised;)
